Specly helps adults discover people nearby through shared activities, send activity intents, connect after mutual acceptance, and chat to coordinate real-world plans. Specly is an activity-based social discovery app for adults — not a dating or hookup service. Specly is operated by Ruth Okolo.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Specly. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Specly collects date of birth during onboarding and enforces age eligibility in the app and on our servers. We may suspend or remove accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements or that provide false information.

You agree to provide accurate account and profile information and to keep it reasonably up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.

Specly supports email and password sign-in, email one-time passcodes, optional biometric unlock on your device, optional email OTP reauthentication for sensitive actions, and sign-in with Apple or Google where available.

You agree not to impersonate another person, create an account using false information, share your account with others, or use the Services in a way that interferes with security or normal operation.

You are responsible for the content you submit through Specly, including profile photos, bios, activities, vibe tags, availability signals, hangout intents, messages, reports, and support messages.

You agree not to use Specly to harass, threaten, stalk, spam, scam, impersonate others, upload fake or misleading photos, distribute illegal content, solicit unsafe activity, or pressure anyone into meetings or behavior they do not want.

Respect boundaries. A declined hangout intent is a complete answer. Do not attempt to circumvent blocks, reports, or safety tools.

Users must upload clear, current, and accurate photos of themselves. You may not upload fake photos, celebrity photos, AI-generated faces, heavily misleading edits, group-only photos, photos of another person, or images that hide your identity.

Specly may reject, remove, limit, suspend, or delete accounts that use false, misleading, inappropriate, or impersonating photos. We use safety tools and moderation to support authentic profiles, but we cannot guarantee every user's identity or behavior.

Specly may request additional verification, including a live selfie, photo review, or other reasonable authenticity checks. Failure to complete verification when reasonably requested may limit access to discovery, activity intents, connections, chat, or other features.

A "Photo Verified" or similar badge, if offered, indicates that Specly completed a verification step at a point in time. It does not mean Specly verifies all users, guarantees identity, or guarantees safe behavior.

Specly may show profiles based on filters, location context, activities, availability, and other product rules. We do not guarantee compatibility, responses, connections, or successful plans.

An accepted activity intent allows users to chat and coordinate a plan. Sending or accepting an intent does not guarantee that a hangout will happen.

Specly helps users coordinate activity intents, but Specly is not responsible for what happens during in-person meetings. Users should meet in public places, tell someone they trust where they are going, arrange their own transportation, and use their judgment before meeting anyone.

Users are responsible for communicating clearly, choosing safe public meeting places for early plans, and leaving any situation that feels unsafe.

Specly provides tools such as block, report, account deletion, and support contact. You may report concerns such as fake or misleading photos, harassment, impersonation, or unsafe behavior.

We may review reports, preserve records, restrict features, remove content, or delete accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or operation of the Services.

Specly does not conduct criminal background checks on users and cannot guarantee user behavior online or offline.

Specly may offer optional paid features such as Specly Plus (subscription) or Boost (one-time purchase) through Apple In-App Purchase when available.

Before you purchase, the in-app paywall and App Store product page will show the price, billing period (for subscriptions), whether the subscription auto-renews, what features are included, and how to manage or cancel through your Apple ID settings. Specly Plus and Boost may not include a free trial unless clearly stated at purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Refunds and billing disputes are handled under Apple's App Store rules, not directly by Specly, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Free-tier limits, such as daily activity invites, may change as the product evolves.

Specly and its branding, design, software, and content provided by us are owned by Ruth Okolo or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant Specly a limited license to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Services.

Specly relies on third-party providers for infrastructure and account functionality, including authentication, database, storage, email delivery, and platform sign-in services. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and policies where applicable.

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Specly does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific social outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ruth Okolo and Specly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the Services or interactions with other users.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You may stop using Specly at any time and may request account deletion in the app settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary for safety, legal compliance, or service operation.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, unless another law must apply under mandatory consumer protection rules.

Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought before the courts of Ontario, Canada, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Specly after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
